I have all the sims 1 games an I have tried to play it on 2 different vista pc’s.The first pc is one of the first line of vista’s that came out before they worked out all the problems/bugs an so on.The next pc is a new vista a 08.I install the game an sometimes the first problem right away it won’t quit loading the towns menu thing that starts when your in view of the neigborhood…If that doesn’t happen on either pc the other problem is….. I can make my person an due up my house…Problem is though I have to do it in all that one time game play.Because it will say error if I exit out of the game an come back to it later an want to save it again. Then my house won’t even be there at times.Nor when I try an make a new sim an move them in my sim won’t show up in my family area.Even then it will continue to say error when trying to save an every great once in awhile my house an sim will appear when game starts up then I can play normally, but I still can’t save! Sims 2 works just fine on both vista’s.So can anyone help me out, does anyone have this problem as well with the first sims??? The sims 1 cd’s are newer it’s the sims complete collection pack.
It kills me it’s my fav game!

I am also the owner of a vista. Several games are not compatible with vista. If you want to use a computer for gaming then windows xp is a much better option.
A computer with Vista is good as a doorstopper though.

no sim games so far have been made compatable for windows vista, since the sims was made long before windows vista, and even if your discs are new, it still wont work. i have sims 2 and windows vista, and the sims 2 stuffs up. i havent tried sims 1 before though. but look forward for 2009, the new sims 3 is coming out then, and im sure they will be made compatible for windows vista!

Sims should run in Vista, you will just need more memory than if you had XP, and fewer video cards are supported.
