Slow computer even after new harddrive put in?

June 15th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I feel that my computer is running slow allthough it has 1.5GB of RAM, 2.0 Ghz ,core 2 Duo. So I did a format with getting my partition changed . Yet my computer is still slow. I did numbers of reseating my RAM, changed my hard disk cables, used memory testing software even then no error were found.

Guys I hv also replaced my hard disk with a new one even then I was unsuccessful.
I really don't know what is the problem as my games are running properly & my xp and vista setup were install in a normal time.
But the data transfer is very slow & booting of OS has also become very slow.
When my hard disk was in service center for replacement , I used to run my computer using LINUX MINT & it was running very smoothly.

you are used to linux, you just have to adjust back to toe slowness/crappyness of windows

try clearing your start up object hit run-type in msconfig-click on start up then choose the programs. also get rid of unused programs by removing hard ware, try using cleaning up disk and defragmenter.on your system tools that should do the trick.

or you might just need a faster processor,im running 2.8ghz core2 duo and 1gb of ram my computer is not slow and i had it since 05,about to up grade to a 3gb ram. also only use xp its a lot better that vista,my other computer used to run vista.it was kinda slow so i switch to xp and works a lot faster
