My computer keeps having slow performance, lag and sometimes it freezes. I don't think it's a virus or spyware because I have NOD32 and I already scanned my computer many times, it doesn't detect me anything.
I don't think is a registry problem neither because I already cleaned my registry with "Eusing FRC" (this one detected about 400 problems, but it fixed them already and the computer still having same performance).
I also have about 8 GB of free hard-disk space, I don't think is related to that either. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

Run Task Manager. There you can see the processes and what is taking up the most cpu. If it is a program you dont need or that you rarely use, it may be running all of the time. Some programs do this for faster response when commanded to execute the program. To fix this type msconfig in Start>Run and from there you can choose what programs start up every time your computer starts up. Hope this helps

You may have little RAM (below 1.5GB with Vista, below 768MB with XP, or consider the possibility that you had a smart virus like I did, and consider re-installing Windows, BUT BACKUP YOUR STUFF FIRST! Hope this helps.

You may have an allocation problem due to fragmentation. You need to find a program that defrags and compacts the heap.
Try using system mechanic…
