i installed kaspersky antivirus 7.0.x.x.x. i used to have kaspersky antivirus 2009, but i did a downgrade because 7.0 was easier to use. ever since i uninstalled kaspersky 2009, and installed kaspersky 7, my computer has been having slow startup problems. the computer boots and logs in fairly quickly, but kaspersky takes about 30 seconds to load, which is way too long. when i had kaspersky 2009 on the computer, it was one of the first things to load. now it is the last. another program that loads on startup is deepfreeze. deepfreeze is thawed, but other than that, the only things that i have on startup is the settings for my geforce graphics card, and kaspersky. kaspersky takes way too long to load, and if i try to open a program before kaspersky starts, the program is very slow at loading. does anyone know what i can do? i was thinking of doing a repair install of windows xp.

intel pentium 4 hyperthread @ 2.80 ghz
windows xp professional
2 gb of ram
any suggestions?
