Ok, I recently brought a dell computer, it came with Windows Vista, which I hate. So I decided to downgrade to Win Xp Pro. The dell computer has a 250 GB hard drive. When the computer came, there were 2 partition, one for 240 GB that has vista on it and a 10 gb one with the recovery stuff on it.
When I start the installation, I decided to delete the partition that windows vista partition, so I can install Win XP and delete Vista. Well once I did that and tried to create a partition in the Win XP installation, the max size of a partition I can create is 117 GB. So 117 GB + the 10 GB of recovery data does not equal to 250 GB… anyone have any suggestion on how I can recover that 100 GB?
Vista annoys me.. i use it at work.. half of the programs i want to use doesn't work on vista
Yeah I am trying to avoid calling dell, since their outsourced customer service sucks…….

After finishing installation of XP. you can have a try to install [ PartionMagic ]. I think this software can help you to find out the lost 100GB.
I often use this software. Tried and True
