So my computer has a virus…Infected .dll file..help?

April 27th, 2009 · 4 Comments

I get alerts every 20 seconds about this virus on my computer..its in local disk C, WINDOWS ,and in some .dll file…I tried doing what I could to remove it but since windows won't let me modify the file I am not able to repair this infected .dll. Anyone know anything I can do to get rid of this issue?
suspicious vundo.2 (something like that) sorry i am at work, my comp is at home…

i think the location is C://WINDOWS/tqpbr…dll

if you can not help me with the info I provide perhaps I will try asking again later when I am on my comp.

      2 things you can do

If it is just one file infected, reboot into safe mode and then remove it./

      or

Get a quality anti virus software program like Trendmicro or AVG and let there software remove it

I would suggest installing McAfee and running their simple scan.It will detect the virus and then you click details. It will give you some options. You should click backup and destroy. this means that it will make a copy of the file, then destroy the infected version.
