I am learning bit by bit about internet security, and i was wondering if anyone could explain these words, questions before i go and download Kaspersky:
Difference between:
-trojan
-Virus
-ad aware
-spyware
-worns
What programs should i get to COMPLETELY protect my computer. That means cleanup and security (before viruses even get into the computer). I kow you need firewalls,etc. But i was just wondering was programs can i get that would do everything to keep my comp safe. I heard that one program isnt enough or doesnt do EVERYTHING. I heard you need a couple of softwares (that do different thing) to keep your comp fully protected.
So far i have kaspersky the free trial version, and will soon buy their best one (its like $120 for 2 years).
Hope this wasnt too confusing

trojan is a virus in disguise, much like the myth folklore of the Trojan Horse, appears as a harmless gift, but then at night soldiers sneak out of the horse and destroy the town.
a Virus is any software meant to destroy the users computer, may delete important items, or take control of the users mouse.
ad aware is I think like a popup blocker
Spyware is a software used to watch what is going on on one computer, from another computer. McAfee is the BEST .
