Ok, so some moron decided to hack into my WiFi network. I’m almost positive it was in the last week, and I KNOW that it was in the last month. Is there any way to get him off of there, or change the password, or something to get him off of it? I had to set up something with my internet a few weeks ago, and it wasnt on there. I monitored it for at least a week after that. PLEASE HELP!?
Thx in advance!
Well, 2 things:
1. Thanks for answering so quickly!
2. I already tried changing the password. It wont let me…I have an ATT router if that can help.
Guess what! I fixed it. I changed the network name, wifi password, and made it so it's not publicly broadcasted, so no one can even find the name. Thx every 1!

If you have set a WEP key in the router, I would change that to something new. If you do not have a key required to access your network I would recommend doing so.
In order to change/add that, you would have to get into your router’s configuration page (usually typing “home” in the address bar of your browser will bring that up) and from there, find the WEP key section so that you can update that to something new.

The admin pages for the router will let you change the password.
You need to do two things:
1. Change the admin password that is used to log into the router's administration pages.
2. Set up encryption, which will keep your neighbors from jumping on your signal.
#1 is simple, and is important, since anyone can get in there if it is still set to the well-known default.
#2 is also easy. The docs. that came with your router will tell you how to get it set up.

Heh, I bet he’s the one calling you a moron as well.
Log into your router and change the password, then encrypt the connection.
If he logged into your router, and changed your admin password, i believe there is something physically on the router to reset it to default.

Go to this website for basic setup techniques. If you have a secure network I doubt anyone hacked it if unsecured well yeah its easy more then easy cause some WiFi systems are set to allow all to connect.
If you don’t know how to do the items listed you need your Wireless router manual, if thats still not enough hire someone to set you up correctly.
