i'm aware that you should only have one antivirus in a computer. but is having spybot search and destroy and spyware terminator together OK? is it okay to have avg antvirus as well?
also, if you think that any of these programs aren't good, then can you make recommendations of other programs that will catch viruses, malware, spyware, and other stuff?

You should be okay with these 3 as they shouldn't conflict.
If you do notice programmes running slow or worsr not running etc then you'll know to take a spyware programme off.
I think CCleaner is a good programme. Well it works for me.
Good luck

You are right about having only one antivirus. You should have no problems using Spybot and Spyware Terminator together since they are for spyware and you can have any number of those programs as you want. Just not two programs for antivirus. My recommendation for you is McAfee. I use it, it works well and is great! If you use McAfee, your computer will run faster because you only need McAfee itself since it catches all those things you listed, rather than those three you have. McAfee cost $40 at stores but I will give you a link where you can get it for free:

Good luck and choose my answer as best!

They should be fine together. I have AVG, Malwarebytes, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Superantispyware all on my computer with no problems.

Those will all play together just fine.
Everyone has their preferences; I personally don't care for Spyware Terminator. I feel that Comodo's BOClean gives a better real-time protection. But BOClean doesn't have an on-demand scan.
I also use Avast Home Edition over AVG. I believe Avast to be the best *all-around* free antivirus.
Two suggestions:
Add SpywareBlaster to augment Spybot's immunization:
> SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
And add Superantispyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for on-demand scanners:
> Superantispyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/
> Malwarebytes Anti-Spyware: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html
* SpywareBlaster uses no resources because it works by immunization.
* The on-demand scans only use resources when they are run.
Edit: I respectfully invite the thumbs-downer to submit their own better answer… because I don't see it yet.
