Do not listen to that as it is a scam. Download trusted anti-malware applications.

No single anti-spyware application is perfect so I recommend using at least 2 different programs. Spybot Search & Destroy is one of the best. I also recommend SUPERAntiSpyware. Other free anti-spyware programs would be Adaware, AVG Anti-spyware (formally Ewido), A-squared, Spyware Terminator and SpywareBlaster.

If you do not have an updated anti-virus program always running, you need to get one. Install only one, but you can get AVG, Avast! or AntiVir for free.

I strongly recommend using FireFox, it's a far better and safer alternative to Internet Explorer. If you add-on McAfee SiteAdvisor, it will warn you of potentially harmful sites. I also recommend CCleaner which is a free system optimization and privacy tool.

Get avg free, and super antispyware(both free and excellent) from the internet, update them, and run them both. They will find and remove spyware, adware, and viruses. Do this asap before you really have problems!!!!!!!

I wouldnt activate anything until you’ve verified that your default antivirus is running. If you have comcast (alot of people do), then you get antivirus for FREE and so theres nothing to activate. Knowing your antivirus will help so that should be your FIRST objective. Get a name for it then contact them to understand HOW to activate. Dont pay attention to the messages you get. Some of them are from popups that advertising firms believe will make you buy their products.

Virtumonde is a old virus that is coming back, but under a different strain. Long story short, do exactly what the first guy said. Use Spy bot search and destroy. You can also use ad-aware, also another good scanner. Both are free!

The message itself could be adware. You hopefully do have spyware, adware and virus preventing software installed on your system, Yes? If not, buy a suite now!! Your system may have come with Windows Defender, check it to see what it says about your current security. Look under “All Programs” to find it. Icon looks like a gray castle. If you have anti-malware/spyware installed, do a scan and lock out anything it finds.
      Good Luck

Both of those things are spyware/malware products themselves. DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING THEY ASK YOU TO CLICK ON!!

First make sure that you have a reputable antivirus program such as Trend Internet Security, McAfee Antivirus, Norton Internet Security, AVG, or Avast!. Make sure that it is enabled and updated completely. If you cannot find any one of those antivirus softwares then i recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AVG Free. It is a FREE antivirus program that is surprisingly effective at keeping your computer clean and free of viruses. Update it and run a full system scan to clean up most of the mess on your computer.

Second, you will need a good anti spyware program. Not all “antispyware” programs are good. AdAware 2008 is fairly effective, and Spybot Search and Destroy is pretty good. I use a combination of both on my systems. Both can be found at http://www.download.com. If you do not have either one download it and upgrade, and again run a full system scan. This should help to pick up anything that the Antivirus program missed. *Spybot will say that it will conflict with Adaware….but i have had no problems running both.

After you have removed any viruses and spyware you should no longer see any pop-ups on your computer. To keep your computer clean i recommend using a 3rd party browser such as Mozilla Firefox instead of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox can be downloaded at http://www.download.com

If you are still seeing those pop-ups you can download a program called HijackThis from http://www.trendsecure.com to scan all running processes and send it to someone knowledgeable about computers and a HijackThis log file to hopefully resolve the issue further.

Your infected with windows antivirus 2008 or 2009 and it’s malware. You’ve got to be super careful on how you remove it. One wrong click and you could lose access to your hard drive. Enter Windows antivirus 2008 in any search window and read about it. There’s two things you should look for one is a utube video and the other is Malwarebytes by ms. You have to remove some of it manually and the rest with malwarebytes.

Sounds like your computer is infected with adware and/or malware that’s trying to trick you into wasting some money. Here’s what I suggest. First, ignore those warnings, run update on your anti-virus and run a full scan.

If you don’t have anti-virus software, or as the next step:

Uninstall all those free web browser add-ons
Uninstall all the extraneous programs you got for free like Limewire & such
Delete all your temporary internet files & cookies
Edit your startup files and delete what you don’t need
      Run disk cleanup
Download Avira Anti-virus if you don’t already have one
      Download Spybot Search & Destroy
      Download Ad-Aware SE personal
Download ZoneAlarm personal edition free firewall

Reboot and uninstall all your anit-virus stuff (unless you scanned earlier), all your spyware stuff, and all your malware stuff. De-activate your Windows Firewall
Reboot and install ZoneAlarm, then install Avira, Spybot, and Ad-Aware. Update and scan your computer one at a time.

      Run disk cleanup again
      Run disk defrag.

      Good Luck
