Spyware detected when signing in?

August 23rd, 2008 · 3 Comments

When starting up my computer a large red window pops up, Warning, Spyware has been detected. The 2 viruses listed are adware.virtumonde and privacyremover.m64. It has removed or blocked my browser so that I can not get online. I do have Norton antivirus and anti spyware, but it did not stop this from getting in. Can anyone help. Thanks.

I would suggest downloading AVG free from http://free.grisoft.com by going into safe mode with networking. Run a scan in safe mode.

Free spyware programs won’t do the job.

You need a dedicated antispyware software like Spyware Doctor. It has won numerous awards and comes highly regarded within the computer industry.
