I got rid of norton because my trial ran out and it was useless.
I got McAfee installed now for free from comcast but it is not turned out. I am pretty sure Spyware doctor is detecting it as a Backdoor.Bandok virus. Either that or a hacker is trying to get in at the exact time i press the button, or the McAfee prgram itself is infected. The infected file is:
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MCAFEE\VIRUSSCAN\MCSHIELD.EXE
ya i know you are not supposed to run two of the same programs. i had to delete norton. spyware doctor was compatible with norton so why wouldnt it be compatible with McAfee?
thanks Ed. thats all i was worried about. I tried different antivirus but i think i am going to stick with this combo, even though people say McAfee sucks. At least I have versions that are better than the bare shareware versions.

Running two programs meant to eliminate spy ware, Viruses etc should never be run at the same time. Good Luck. The same goes for Firewalls.
