Ok so I just go this new laptop and its and Asus and it runs on Linux, and I was just wondering if there was already Spyware protection in this thing? If not could someone please suggest an anti-spyware program that they use? ONE THAT IS FREE PLEASE!!! Thanks for the help.
***BTW I know that I already have anti-virus protection in this computer but idk if anti-spyware comes with it? Oh, and since I have WI-FI through a NETGEAR modem thing, do I even need anti - spyware?

You can download the free versions of Lavasoft's AD-AWARE and SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY. Both should be easily found online and usually what one misses the other finds so I would suggest installing and running them both.
As for whether or not you NEED them, I don't know. But it doesn't hurt, does it?
