hi,
My brother's computer is infected with spyware. on the windows tool bar is says we have detected spyware on your computer click here to download the latest software to remove it, when I clck on it, it brings up pop- ups and freezes the computer. So it is the virus I am guessing. He has WEBROOT spy sweeper installed on it and we have ran it a lot of times but it has not solved the problem. It there any other safe program to try, that will detect the poblem. Please help. I want to get it fixed ASAP before the computer is totally messed up.

I hate webroot spysweeper. Ad aware is a far better product, and it's free.
Don't click on the popup. In fact, you can block popups in ie7 under tools.

download spyware doctor starter edition(free) from download.com… scan and it should be able to remove it…
