spyware threat on computer?

April 26th, 2008 · 10 Comments

It says spyware threat has been detected on computer, and i read other questions on here that had the samething happen to them and people said not to buy the software that they want you to buy. But my computer is running alittle slower than usual and pop ups saying that my computer is infected with spyware. Does anyone know whats wrong with my computer and what can i do so that annoying message will go away. Also could it be a virus.??
So if i download windows live one care the message will go away, along with all the annoying pop ups

It seems like we have been having the same experience. The following will help. Its malware.

I have been fighting a virus, trojan horse, pop ups, malware and spyware for 3 days. I finally went to Microsoft after trying everything. Spy Bot did not work. Avast stinks. Lava ware didn't work.

The Best Best Thing is……Microsoft Live One Care
You get a 90 trial free then you have to pay. I am going to pay when it is over because it works!!!

It takes hours to install, run and fix but it is worth it!! Trust Me!!
I wasted hours and hours trying.

It may very well be a virus. On my ipod touch it said i had a virus. When i didn't!! It could be spam! Do system restore. It should help.

The pop ups are generated by the spyware.

Go to Microsoft.com and download Windows Defender.
      It'll remove the spyware.

Well first of all - do not click on those pop up windows - activate pop up blocker.

Second - scan your computer - for virus spyware adware etc. There are many solutions - and also some good free ones.

      I recommend avast antivirus free
and lavasoft adaware - free edition.

Both you can download from the web.

If you have Norton installed and its running normal as usual performing normal scans on your pc then you shouldn't have a problem, but if there is a back door spy ware you should consider buying a good anti spy ware program like Spy ware Doctor and Registry Mechanic, they work miracles and they run along with Norton with no problems at all, also if you like you can install the trial for spy ware doctor and it will scan your computer for every thread possible, I'm pretty sure the trial will work, but like i said consider buying the full version because they actually work.
Here is the site for spy ware doctor:

Click start>click run type in msconfig and then press enter. Goto the start up tab and uncheck everything except your anti virus, click ok and reboot.

      1. Download and run firefox to protect your from future spyware attacks and pop ups which are coming in through Internet Explorer IE!! (Trojan downloaders, win32 ).
