on my new laptop, i was on youtube when all these windows started popping up, telling me i had a malicious spyware virus. so, i downloaded the virus scanner that windows recommended, and ran it twice. then it said my computer needed to restart for it to take affect. so, i restarted it, and now since then there are no icons on my desktop when i turn on my computer, and there is no start , tool bar or anything! it wont even let me click ctrl alt delete. What do I do????!!!!!!!?????
the problem is I cant even get on the internet from the laptop, it is completly blank!

You have been infected with a virus. Windows does not normally tell you that your computer is infected. You can try using your normal antivirus software in safe mode and try to get rid of it that way. If that does not work download spybot and copy it to a CD and run spybot from safe mode.

well for one u were stupied for picking something like that but let me ask u something elase do u have windows vista? vista could be the problem but what ever the problem is u probly have to call the help line number it should be located on the computer and they should help but if its as bad as it sounds u may have to get it repaired or get a new labtop oh yeah another think keep in mind make back-up disc just in case it happens again

Did the pop-ups recommend you to download any programs? If you had, congrats (I don't mean it). The scanner you downloaded did more damage than fixing it. Right now you need to download some anti-viral and spyware tools. Reboot up your computer and press F5 to go to safe mode. Try and go and do system restore in the control panel and restore what you can. If you can't do that then it's time to manually fix up what you've done. Download the programs and boot it up. The scans may take some time to finish and remove what you can. I recommend you get good programs from download.com. If your computer works, I would download Hijack This and scan thoroughly, and post your results on online forums for Hijack This results and they'll tell you what to delete. DO NOT DO IT MANUALLY YOURSELF as you may delete something vital from your machine. If it doesn't work, I'll leave it for the experts there.

Your computer is infected with rogue antispyware program. Download and run rogue antispyware software from internet.

When you boot your laptop press F8. Choose the safe mode, it will boot the windows with minimum configuration. Run different types of antispyware, antivirus, trojan hunters and so on. But one by one. 'Cause they take lot of CPU. When you are done, reboot your pc again and start the windows normally.

the one that windows recommend that was fake. if you click on it ,it will get worst.
