Ok, so I have a spyware virus on y brand new laptop. It has windows vista and i never backed up the files when i first got it so i cant like restart the computer to that time. There is a bubble that pops up in the bottom left coner that says I have 417 viruses. Im afraid that there might not be anything i can do and that my brand new computer is junk. my friend got spyware but he was able to get rid of it. Also I just noticed I have a program call McAfe Secuirtey Center and I was looking through it and I noticed there was a thing call FakeAlert-AQ (Trojan) and it was repeated several times. Dont know if this helps any.

You can usually order backup disks from the manufacturers website, but first try using nod32 antivirus it works well for me (http://www.eset.com/download/registered_software.php)

i don't think it's a virus.It must be a spy ware that got installed while you were browsing.Just try bitdefender 2008 internet security suite and run a complete system scan
