Suddenly WMP 11 has decided not to sync downloaded books to my mp3 player. error msgs blame all but windows!?

I've searched microsoft and tried their suggestions (for WMP 10, not 11) without luck.

If I got the book through OverDrive Media the error message is: An error occurred while attempting to transfer “The 6th Target-Part01.wma”. Error details: Unable to transfer the selected title because [Insert3] returned 0xC00D2711.

If I got the book from NetLibrary the message is: Windows Media Player cannot sync the file because the device needs to be updated.

That message directs me to microsoft website and the following error code: C00D10BC.

I've done what both "hotfixes" have said and still can't get books to sync. I can play them on my computer, I can sync books ripped from CDs.

Could it be some software corruption? I'm getting annoying prompts about running scripts anytime I'm at Yahoo mail or Ebay and other sites with advertising. I've tried resetting all of the security screens that are mentioned w/o luck.

BTW I've got a creative zen v plus and a sansa m240
