i have norton antivirus tho the name reads symantec. i want to update it but each time i try i get something called ie. antivirus that offers a free scan shows me the spyware on my computer. when i tell it to clean it takes me right back to the scan.
Q: what is this ie, is it a virus too?
How do i download the update, preferably for free:)

IE Antivirus is fake Antivirus software one of the few programs that can remove it is Malwarebytes - http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

If you're getting a pop up or something telling you to download something or it want's to scan your computer you have a virus or Spyware. The only thing that should be scanning your computer is your own Anti Virus program NOTHING ELSE!
