The AutoFill icon on my toolbar is in washed out gray & wont work! Help!?

I’ve gone into the “green” settings icon on the toolbar & checked the box to use AutoFill, it also shows that I’ve completely filled out the form for auto fill, but the AutoFill icon will not “color-up” and is not “active” (wont fill in forms automatically) ! What can I do to get AutoFill working! I’m at my last straw!!! THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!
