My mom put the computer on sleep. It was working fine before. I went to turn it on by moving to mouse to wake it up but the screen woudlnt turn back on. The monites light was blinking. I tried turning the a screen off and on but the dell screen still wouldn't come on. Then my mom turned the moniter off and back on and it said some file was corrupt. The last time this happened our old computer got wiped out. Now mcafee says that it is turned off and ot won't let us fix the problem. It was saying to renew your subscription but it won't let us. My mom had bought mcafee for a year so we shouldn't have to renew it. My mom was using Internet explorer even though I've been telling her to use firefox ever since that explorer prolem where peoples computer accounts were hacked into. The computer is brand new. What's going on with it? And it's a dell too. Also, can someone give me the number for mcafee if there is on. And when my mom restarts the computer it says check one of the disks or something.

there seems to be a hard disk error, insert the windows disk and do an fdisk to fix the hard disk error
