My dad bought me a Toshiba laptop that came with a McAfee antivirus under the Toshiba name… But McAfee uses a subscription for the antivirus to be in effect and I cannot afford it. I’m just a kid. Is it okay if I uninstall the antivirus that came with the laptop and install a new one that uses a serial number?? Since I’m new to laptops, I’m afraid it might affect the other program or more importantly, the laptop… Thanks in advacne!!

You can uninstall the McAfee antivirus, but be sure to install another antivirus in its place. There are reputable Antivirus programs out there that are FREE. AVG, Avast, and Avira are all good…and free.
It will not hurt other programs or your laptop.

Definitely Yes it would be no issues if you uninstall McAfee anti-virus and install another anti-virus
