trend micro antivirus just keeps scanning until i turn it off?

i use trend micro antivirus and when i scan my computer it just keeps running until i turn it off, like it runs for days and never finishes scanning, i dont want to do a disk cleanup because i have alot of old unused files on my computer for my business that i dont want deleted, can somebody help me?

      WoW……….you sure must have a lot of files on your computer. If you have info that you can't replace you should seriously consider a back up of some sort. Hard drives can and do fail and leave you left with absolutely nothing.

      Enough said !

      If your computer is working normally i wouldn't worry about doing a full scan. You should be able to configure Trend to only scan specific files as this would not take so long.

      I forget but i think Trend scans in the background so it won't intrude on your computer usage. You could check on the Trend Micro website to see if that's a fact.
