Yes, I used to have Norton and I switched to Trend, due to Norton takes up more RAM, and slows your computer down(not in a bad way),but Trend doesn’t use as much RAM and I found Trend being faster at running scans, so I would recommend deleting norton for Trend.

Yes, multiple security software may interfere with each other. Anyways, I wouldn’t recommend Trend Micro or Norton. Free programs will do better.

Norton 360 is really good takes up less memory than previous norton stuff - it’s great.

You cannot install 2 anti viruses at the same time. Both Trend and Norton have it Pros and Cons. The worst thing about Norton that turns off user is its high RAM usage, which slows the computer, but both are good. Why go for paid ones, when you can get free ones like AVG which is much much better than either of the 2. I used to use Norton, but now I have shifted to AVG.
If you want to install 2 AntiVirus then install ThreatFire in addition to the normal one that you will use. It is the only antivirus that is made as a secondary antivirus and not as the primary one and lets you install another antivirus. Its free also.

So after reading all that above, yes you need to un-install Norton. I don’t know if you can uninstall only the anti virus and leave the other components of Internet Security or not. I have Norton Utilities on one computer and I was able to just uninstall the anti-virus program and keep the rest of the utilities.
You might have problems with the uninstall. Virus programs have lots of roots in your registry and usually the uninstall doesn’t remove everything. You might have to check the Norton (Symantec) web site to find out how to get it completely uninstalled.

How do you get more than just a trial to AVG?
