Trend Micro virus scan isn’t working?

When I scan online using trend micro, usually everything works fine. The last few times, however, it tells me that the latest version of Java is disabled or uninstalled. When I visit Java.com and perform a test, it says that I have the updated version. What is wrong; why isn't trend micro able to scan?
