Well yesterday, i scanned my computer twice using my two programs.
“Spybot Search and Destroy” Avg Free 8.0″. Im not a computer expert but those two files are updated and everything. I scanned my computer like 4 times already with those two.
The story is my friend got his accounts hacked in a game and lost everything. The hacker went to “IRC” and sent him a picture uploaded from “Imageshack.us”. He then sent it to me and i clicked the link from “imageshack.us”. Im not worried because the hacker might have put a trojan on that picture. Can he put a “Trojan” on the picture? If so, will avg and spybot find that trojan? If not, i can use some tips here please!!
Also, my scanners haven't found a trojan yet when i scanned my computer like 4 times. I also updated all my scanners and everything.

Try avast
Step 1 - Get Avast!HomeEdition ( http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Editi… )
Step 2 - Register for it on their website (It is for free, they just need your name/email - your name does not have to be real either..)
Step 3 - Install/Register Avast Home Edition, then run a scan - if your computer is not cleaned afterwords, contact avast on their website (forum) and ask them, they will guide you step by step on how to remove it…
Step 4- Relax, chill, and maybe visit my website if you don't mind: http://picmess.blogspot.com
Good luck

OK this is a cut and paste answer. I’m not doing this for points. Rather to provide good solid answers to one of the most often asked questions.
Lets face it. You usually get what you pay for. There are some rather fine Freeware utilities out there but none of them are as strong as the ones you pay for. Of the pay ones Norton / Symantec is almost as big a joke as McAffee.Which is just marginally better than the crap that microsoft packs with windows. Google the anti virus certifying bodies that rate these companies. Use what the pros use. There are a couple of good Free online scans to verify the presence of an intrusion. Trend micro Housecall and Kaspersky. Housecall will also remove malware while Kaspersky offers a Free 30day FULL VERSION trial. The proper way to remove malware is to turn off your system restore. (malware hides a copy of itself there quite often) Then re boot into safe mode. (keep pressing f8 when you power up and select safe mode) Then run your anti virus / anti spyware-trojan utilities. Then re-boot with your internet connection disabled and re-run your scans. then turn your restore back on and set a new restore point. Good luck and best wishes.

If you used Spybot and found nothing then chances are you are trojan free. A trojan can’t reside in a picture alone. It must be given a chance to install. You should have nothing to worry about.

is your computer acting strange? if not then you might be ok if you did not download the whole picture. I always use ”Spyware Doctor” from PcTools. it does a scan in minutes and gets rid of alot of viruses that my Norton never picked up. It costs to get this on your computer, but there is soloutions;). Hope i have helped.
