Trojan Virus?

ok my computer just said it detected a trojan virus called Trojan.Vundo i was curious as to a) can someone get rid of a trojan virus using symantec antivirus and ad aware b) is it a simple remove file? c) and if it cannot be removed with software what steps must be taken to get rid of it?
