I use my USB a lot and I have no choice but to transfer data from other computers to my computer.
Thing is, most of the time I have to deal with the jumping viruses.
( I don’t know what to call them, they usually jump from the computer to my usb)
So my questions are:
1. The viruses I usually encounter are trojans, and they usually come with Autrorun.inf, what does that mean?
2. How dangerous are they?
3. If they can jump from the computer I was using to my USB, can they jump from my USB to my computer?
4. If, so where (what file) would they usually hide in My computer?
5. My anti-virus usually takes care of the viruses, but Autorun.inf is still left behind, and I have to delete it manually, otherwise my USB can’t be read without running autoplay. What should I do about this?
6. What anti-virus software should I get to avoid this altogether???
Thanks a lot for those who reply!

Ok so ill answer these one at a time.
1. Autorun.inf is the program that enables the virus or in this case a trojan to start itself as soon as it is in your USB or computer.
2. It depends but some can be very dangerous i have met some that can steal your information from your computer.
3.Yes.
4.They would usually hide in places that aren’t easy to access.
5.Try adding autorun.inf to the things your computers firewall blocks.
6.I have had much the same problem you have had and i bought Norton Antivirus, it is about $50-$60 a year but i have exactly zero problems.
I hope this helps you.
