Trying to delete a virus .dll file through command prompt and it says Access Denied. What do I do?

August 4th, 2008 · 1 Comment

My computer is pretty much useless because of the Vundo and XP Security Center viruses. I managed to get Safe Mode Command Prompt to work and I have been deleting the virus files I discovered through a Malabytes Malaware log.

I am trying to delete system32\xxyaabby.dll but it says access is denied. I try to use ATTRIB -R -A -S -H but it isn’t working.

What can I do?

      you need expert help
      go to http://www.whatthetech.com

download HighJack this and post a log on their forum
you will need to use SD FIX and VUNDO FIX to get rid of this problem, but I don't recommend using them without expert guidance…stop doing what you're doing - you are going to corrupt your operating system - Vundo attaches itself to the root

      Download Highjack This from Here:
      http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

The tech forums are free but if they help you you should donate
      good luck
