I just installed Kaspersky 2009, and before installation, I had to turn off my Windows firewall in order for the installation to go smoothly. My question is, now that Kaspersky is downloaded and up and running, can I turn my Windows firewall back on? I feel weird not having it on. Will it add extra security to have it on, or will it just get in the way of Kaspersky doing its job?
I’m looking for actual advice, not someone telling me that Kaspersky isn’t good, or what virus protection to get instead. Someone who actually has Kaspersky would be helpful
Thanks in advance!

It depends on the package of Kaspersky that you bought. If it is a full package deal: Anti-virus, Anti-Spyware and a firewall, then you should leave the Windows firewall off; however, if all you have is the Anti-virus and nothing more, then yes, turn it back on.
