two firewalls!?

April 3rd, 2008 · 2 Comments

this sounds weird..

ok i have downloaded a kaspersky internet security trial version and my 30-day trial is finished.. so i uninstalled it then download again another free trail but now its eset nod32 smart security. i install my eset and i think its doin' fine..

now here's my question. when i looked at my security center under control panel my firewall is one but it says i have multiple firewall. my windows firewall is off but my eset and kaspersky are on… i already uninstalled my kaspersky. how come the firewall in kaspersky is on. how can i turned it off so that i can only use the eset firewall? i think two firewall is not recommended. right?

please help!

thanks in advance!

yes…. you are right two firewalls are not recommended

i think kaspersky might still be in your registry ( get CCleaner and try to get rid of that)

In my opinion The kaspersky not completely remove from your computer few keys or file stored in your system.

      Download Enhanced Uninstaller 4.6.

reinstall your kaspersky then remove it through Enhanced Uninstaller which removes completely kaspersky from your computer and then you able to use your eset firewall.
