unable to uninstall ‘eraser’ program?

September 3rd, 2009 · 1 Comment

I cannot uninstall this program.

I selected the uninstall option for the program as shown in the programs list (accessed from control panel) but this comes up with a ’stopped working’ error.

I also tried just deleting the folder in program files but I get a permission error, I have admin priveledges as it states is required and I removed the ‘read only’ setting on the folder, but as soon as I click ok and then check it again it has defaulted back to read-only so I cannot delete.

I can’t figure out how to uninstall completely the program.

start button/run/ type in msconfig/start up tab/ disable all/ restart. tap f8 until goes into safe mode . Once in safe mode go to program folder right click & delete. restart pc repeat the msconfig but when get to last step enable all. restart Go here install Ccleaner take it out of start up & remove from resigstry & remove. I would run a virus scan to make sure it not a rogue program.
