I am using Google Chrome on my computer, because I prefer it over some of the other, and slower browsers. Anyway, I went into my internet explorer program today for some random reason, and I opened it, and it automatically closed back down (with the little "not responding" message). It was doing this each time I tried to open it. Anyway, Google Chrome doesn't let me use certain websites on it, so I need IE for certain things, but well, it won't work. So, I went into uninstall programs in the control to try to uninstall it, and it wasn't even on the dang list. I tried restarting my computer, and that didn't do a thing. I tried to uninstall it using the "other" way that microsoft suggests on their website, but that didn't work either. How can I uninstall it?? Thanks.

Open the add/remove programs window from the control panel and then click the add/remove windows components button on the left panel. It should be on this list.
