i installed ubuntu as my programming OS and vista is my personal. but once i loaded ubuntu and everything, i couldn't connect to the internet. i tried everything. i have a linksys router and i even enter the SSID and everthing else. it says that the driver for my wireless internet connector is up and running. If you can't help me with the internet then can you tell me how to uninstall ubuntu and leave vista? im fine if the grub loader stays (i impress people with it). Vista came preinstalled on my Toshiba satellite L305D computer so i don't have the disk. is there and easy way to do this? i also wan't to keep all of my files on vista so i don't want to do a wipe.
Thanks!

hmmm… that's strange,
the problem most likely lies in your configuration settings,
duplicate this question with all the necessary configuration files on ubuntu forums, they should be able to help you.
if you wanna remove ubuntu, you can just reformat the partition it resides in. that should leave Grub intact if you installed in MBR.

ubuntu still seems to have some glitches with wpa2… often it works, but when it stops, it's a mf to get it back up and running… install wpa with synaptic or apt-get

Well, try checking to see if you have the drivers for your network card. If that fails, go and try to set you network settings manually. There shouldn't be a firewall set up but check anyways, but if your leaning towards Windows still, just reload Vista, be sure to re-partition the ENTIRE drive so that you get rid of ubuntu completely. Happy troubleshooting!

If you have your Vista installation disc, boot from it and do a startup repair
see here
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
If not, boot into vista, download EasyBCD - free here
http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/easybcd/easybcd.html
click on manage bootloader, select "reinstall vista bootloader", click write MBR
see here

once that is done, you can wipe the ubuntu partition from within vista using the disk management tool(My Comp>Manage>Disk management)

however, i will tell you here that wireless on ubuntu is really nerdy.
and i have had some problems with my ubuntu wired too, it hasn't worked with my router. i plugged into my wireless router and it works fine.
