I installed windows 7 and i would like to uninstall it and bring back windows vista.
(I chose the upgrade option during the install)

If Windows Vista was preinstalled on your computer, then I think the only possible way to get it back is do a full destructive System Restore and bring it back to factory settings. If you installed Vista using a Vista CD, then get that CD again.
If you do do a system restore… back up your files…

You can't unless you reinstall Vista with the DVD. If you're lucky, your computer will have a recovery partition that you can use to restore.
If you do have a recovery partition, Google: "How to use recovery partition YOUR COMPUTER'S MANUFACTURER"
Note: You will lose all data when doing either of these so back your documents up

Older versions of windows can be restored if you did an upgrade. Just modify the procedure from http://news.softpedia.com/news/Uninstall-Windows-Vista-and-Restore-the-Previous-Versions-of-Windows-59129.shtml
