I need help uninstalling F-Secure Anti-Virus that came with my computer when I got it. It came bundled with Charter High Speed Internet Security Center and it wasnt working properly and I switched to Comcast so I get McAffee free anyways. I started the installation process for McAffee and it said I had to uninstall F-Secure first because it conflicted with it. I went to control panel and add or remove programs and it isnt there. I already removed the Charter High Speed Security Center through the control panel, but I’ve still got files from it and it includes F-Secure. When I do a search, I can find the uninstall function, but when I click it, it tells me to run the uninstall from the Control Panel, but it isnt there. How can I get this off of my computer for good? It’s being a major pain.

First and foremost you must disable F-secure before you begin to uninstall it.
1.Go to the F-secure tool tray icon(lower right),right click on it and choose the option that will end the program .
2. Go to Start (lower left) and click on that
3. Go to Control Panel and open it
4 Go to Add or remove Programs and open it
5. Find F-Secure and click on it to high light it and click on uninstall/remove and follow through on the uninstall
After that,it may be necessary to search for remaining files/folders left behind:
1 Click on Start
2 Click on Search
3 Click on All files and Folders
4 Type F-Secure in either search box
5 Make sure that it’s set to search your local hard drive
6 Click Search
7 when program ends, delete ONLY those files/folders that relate to F-Secure.
Remember: You MUST disable it before you uninstall it.
