Uninstalling iTunes? …?

Whenever I open my iTunes, I get a pop up message telling me to restore my iTunes from a previous library. This has happened for about the 5th time already, and I’m getting sick of it. I don’t know why it keeps happening. But I want to uninstall and reinstall it, but I’m afraid I might lose the files? Also, I want to know if I completely get rid of EVERYTHING from iTunes on my computer, reinstall it, then sync my iPod back to iTunes will all my music,apps, movies, and music videos go back on to my iTunes?

My Itunes is informing me that i have to uninstall it and reinstall but i don’t want to lose my music. Help!?
