Using Webroot Spy Sweeper causes my computer to slow down.?

November 16th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I installed Webroot Spy Sweeper and it caused my computer to slow down drastically. My friend told me that the program uses a lot of memory/ram. If i were to buy more memory/ram for my computer, would my computer be faster when using spy sweeper?

Yes, using an antivirus program will slow down your computer, but it shouldn’t really slow it down drastically. Try installing a different antivirus program such as AVG Anti-virus, which doesn’t slow down my comptuer much.
If you bought more memory, then yes, it would be a lot faster.
