I use to have Verizon DSL, I switched to Cavtel, I went to add/remove programs to unistall Verizon but when I turn the computer on,it still wants to start up and wants to go to Verizon Support. Verizon is no longer in the add/remove section but the file still exists in program files. When I go to program files there is a Verizon folder and in the folder is an uninstall icon. I hit the icon and it tells me to go to add/remove program to uninstall. Well as mentioned, it is no longer there. I then try to delete the Verizon folder and I get a message saying "cannot delete asstcatolog.dll Acess is denied. Make sure the disc is not full or write protected and that the file is currently in use." When I am on IE it says internet provided by Verizon. Help. Am I still on Verizon even though I have Cavtel? Can I uninstall Verizon completely? Any info is appreciated.
