Hi
First of all i only have basic compter knowledge
I kept getting a pop-up in windows saying “trojan-spy.html.bankfraud.dq”, there was 3 buttons, but i could only actually press 1 of them, it linked to a web-site SELLING anti-spyware software.
Didn’t buy it
Downloaded AVG, Avast, Spybot and superantispyware.
They all found infections and i think have dealt with them?
Downloaded stopzilla (Didn’t pay, just did a scan) and it said i had all kinds of stuff including coolwebsearch. Then read bad stuff about stopzilla. So downloaded CWshredder, found nothing.
My computer still seems to be running slow, any suggestions?
I use both internet explorer and mozilla firefox
Thank-you for your help

You were smart not to buy that software. Sounds like you were infected with a fake antivirus program. Those are some of the most difficult and popular viruses out right now. The best way to get rid of it would be to do a full system wipe.

Use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to scan and remove the remaining infection. See in the Malwarebytes' Detection List and scroll down to the rogue part and you should recognise the name of the rogue. Click on Download.com icon to get Malwarebytes' and it's free.
It's simple to use really, just download to your desktop, close all applications and windows using Task Manager, double click on the Download_mbam-setup.exe. Do not make any changes to default settings and when the program has finished installing, make sure you leave both the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware checked, and then run in quick scan, and you may be prompted to reboot.
Look down below to tell you how to close windows:
1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up Task Manager
2. Under the Processes tab, if it's visible, put a check in the box 'Show processes from all users'
3. One at a time, highlight each of these that are listed and 'End Process'
