Has anyone else received this? it's a pop-up that says my computer is infected everytime I go on the internet..and it won't leave me alone, and it gets stuck on my computer..it took forever to remove it, and I think it's a scam that says your computer is infected until you pay for the program. Any info on this? Its called Vista 2008. Is there Any way I can stop it from popping up and automatically starting a scan? Thanks.

So it's a program you installed? i'd uninstall it and download AVG free if i were you.

It's definitely adware.
Do an antivirus scan with a program that can catch adware.

I think that your computer got infected with spyware or adware. Try downloading a program that can detect these sorts of things like SpyBot:Search and Destroy or AdAware Professional. Other services that offer virus protection offer spyware and adware protection like AVG or Avira.
Search around online for whatever appeals to you but as far as top protection AVG and Avira are up there on the list. Although if your computer is running slow AVG may not be the best choice of software as when it updates it drastically slows your computer down.

AS an expert with viruses i work for a virus company i would know this is DEFINITLY adware or a Trojan and a hijacker is trying to get your goat Avast=best free antivirus out there
