I am currently using VISTA Ultimate 32, but a friend just gifted me with a nice legal copy of VISTA Ultimate 64. I have a Q9450 in the box I'd put it in, with 4Gb 800 RAM. What are the benefits? What are the drawbacks? What won't run? What will?
Thankx in advance.
Thanks, what about hardware drivers???

Best thing to do is take ur comp to a comp place and have them reset your ill vista so it looks like and acts like windows xp then your golden. It will still run auesome with the backing of vista.
Hopefully this made some sense. One of my clients is a comp shop and this is what they told me.

Most programs are Vista compatible nowadays so that shouldn't be a problem, seeing as you're using Vista x32.
I can only say there are positives with x64, you can use ALL 64 colours instead of only 32, and the 64bit OS can support more RAM.
With x32 you can put in a maximum of 4GB, but only 3.2GB of that is normally read. Using x64 you have a max of 128BG, a massive increase.
If I had just gotten x64 I would install it straight away, you won't regret it.
