Vista crashes .. ? ?

September 7th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I’n using Dell inspiron 1420 1.8ghz duo core processor with 3 gig ram and 160 harddrive. Im using vista home basic. firefox 3 avast home spyware terminator and zone alarm firewall with nvidia geforce 8400m GS.

Ok my firefox most of the time crashes after 1 hour plus of usage and it says please wait for the program to respond and i wait nothing happens even worse all the start button dont seem to be working its like when i click start and shutdown nothing happens but i can click the buttons that means i doesnt hang. so i need to force the power button and off the laptop to restart it. I think it will damage my laptop’s harddrive in sometime to come…so how can i solve this problem ?

I have checked all the new updates for all the software i have installed, i have run av scan, spyware scan and i have carefully clean my registry. i dont know what else to do ? anybody out there got any idea what to do ? thanks for your help in advance.
great i'l do that..dude thanks u made my day.

You may have software conflicts. It may be the antivirus conflicting with the firewall. Turn one program off at a time and see if that fixes your problem.

      Good Luck
