Vista System Directory?

June 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments

This might sound odd and I might be asking it wrong or my question may have no sense packed into it at all but here I go. :\
I was downloading ijl15 dll. but then it said to extract the file to my Winodws\System Directory or something… I use a Vista Intel Core 2 Duo and Ihave NO IDEA what they mean by Windows\ System Directory… I am using WinRar to extract by the way.

They mean C:\Windows\System32 but, you should never download and put anything here unless you completely trust the source. This is windows and an error here could spell death for your machine.

it's generally the C:\Windows directory, unless it has to be in the C:\Windows\system directory or C:\Windows\system32 directory, but normally it'll just be the first one. You should check the directions and make sure if there's a back slash between windows and system to see if you need to drop it in the first or second directory I listed.
