just a warning to all when i got to work this morning the computer way playing up, after much frustration i noticed instead of the virus that was running on my comp was 2008 it was renamed2009, though that was odd so we handed it over to a tech and he couldn’t believe someone had gone to so much trouble to mimic a Virus software, and that to upgrade from threats you had to purchase it in pro, hence you had to give your credit card # name, address, phone etc.
only thing that stopped me was the 2009 thing,PLEASE be careful it nearly caught me out it was so good.

What the ole popup that claims your infected.Please download windows vista Antivirus 2008.Yea there are some sites that host it.I had found a site and saved the link.Plan on sending it to google.And tell them that they need to secure their site a little better.This one will not let you cancel.you have to close out firefox or terminate the firefox process in taskbar.

Yes this one has many names and the latest versions are installing Desktop Hijackers too, fortunately there are free removal tools to eradicate this from users machines.
Sadly, there are also a minority on Yahoo Answers that are posting links to these sites, which only makes matters worse.
