I am looking for foundation or concealer that will stay on completely while swimming.
We have to swim in school and I have really bad skin, complete with acne scars, redness, zits, undereye circles, the works. So I use clinique concealer and pressed powder foundation. but i have a pool at home (we just closed it so I can’t go in it anymore this year) and I know that these two specific clinique products do not stay on when swimming.
What I am looking for is foundation / concealer that’s FULL coverage, that I can go swimming with (that won’t come off while swimming in school for gym…), and that stays on ALL day (basically what I need is 6 am - 6 pm).
What I would like is it to be from a makeup store that I can find in Macy’s or something in a suburb mall - such as Clinique, MAC, or etc.
Also, what are some good primers so foundation / concealer stays on all day?
thanks for your help!

I recommend theater makeup. It’s designed to stay on when someone is sweating under hot lights. Although the better suggestion would be to not wear makeup when you’re swimming, period. Perhaps your skin is bad because you’re wearing thick foundation for 12 hours per day and exposing your skin to chlorine on a regular basis.

Does everything stays on for about 12 hours with no need to reapply and looks fresh all day long, its my fave thing ever.

I would suggest to wash the makeup off and reapply. It’s not really going to help your acne if you go swimming in your foundation, and wearing it for that long on a daily basis isn’t really that great for your skin. There really isn’t any waterproof makeup though unless you’d try out theater makeup, although I would think that at least some would still come off from water. With my mineral makeup, I can be sweating a bit and as long as I don’t wipe the sweat and it just dries, the makeup is intact, but then if I splash water on my face it will start coming off.
So honestly, it would be better to bring your foundation with you and redo it after swimming. And even if you have bad skin, so do other people. There are so many girls at my school that wear nothingon their faces and they have like massive zits and redness, but no one really cares.
