Western Digital My Passport Essential With Mac?

i have a Western Digital My Passport Essential and i formatted it to FAT32 and it didnt work on my mac and i formatted it to NTFS and it didnt work how do i make it work please help me!
ok to add the disk dosent even show up on my mac the LED just Flashes and it dosent show up on the mac i am using a MAC BOOK PRO

      Your Mac should be able to read FAT32 but ideally if you want your Western Digital hard drive to be compatible with your Mac it needs to be Mac formatted which is HFS+

      NTFS is no use to the Mac.
