what can i do about this ialmdev5.dll blue screen? HELP PLEASE!?

so i bought the sims 3 a few days ago.. and then i had this one problem, where my computer froze up while I was playing and a message came up that said "ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working" desparate to fix this problem, i did some research on yahoo answers, and followed the steps of a certain answer, i can't find the question now, but it really worked. but now theres a whole new problem, when i play the sims 3, a blue screen comes up and says something about "ialmdev5.dll" might i add i know NOTHING about computers… umm… my computer is an "optiplex gx280"
can someone help me please? its really stressing me out! :(
