I updated to the free version of Ad-Aware 2008 today and I'm not able to update the definitions. Everytime I try, it says "Connection to the server cannot be found. Please check your Internet connection". My connection is fine. I've tried everything, even untinstalled and reinstalled. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Their servers could be down. I have found that AVG anti-virus free pulls double duty as anti-virus and anti-spyware. Its better not to WASTE resources, and I would highly recommend it. Their servers could be down. Your firewall service could be blocking the software.
AVG Free Anti-Virus 8.0 is now free: (8.0 is shibby[good])

I had this same problem…what you do is, check your firewall software (I have Symantec Client Firewall) Open the program….go to the area where it allows you to add/remove programs and add all the "Lavasoft" (or whatever you named the folder) and then start up back Ad-Aware 2008…And Update….E-mail me if you need a step by step : D~
