When you click on the arrow on site advisor, then general settings, then below advanced settings it says do you want to "encrypt site advisor communication (SSL)." What is this? Also, what is secure search box on mcafee site advisor?

If you enable the SSL option you create a secure connection between you and McAfee's site advisor server as data is sent between you and the server - useful in certain situations but it may slow your internet browsing a little.
SiteAdvisor's new feature adds a Secure Search box to your browser toolbar. Its settings allow you to customize the results that you see from the searches you conduct with it. You can choose to block any red sites from your search results, and can have SiteAdvisor show alerts only for potentially harmful sites. The Secure Search box only works with Yahoo's search engine.
I don't enable either option.
